Villa Isla Bonita

Built in 2016 for a couple expecting their first child, Isla Bonita was designed as both a full-time family home and income-generating property, with two studio rentals at the front. Working against an intense timeline, we completed the main house in time for the family to move in less than a week after their baby arrived, with the studios following at a more relaxed pace. The property doubled in value before being sold in 2021 and continues to operate as a successful rental, while the current owners spend part of the year in the main house. Our relationship with the property has continued over the years, with the addition of a sauna, rooftop terrace, plunge pool, outdoor shower, and large palapa lounge—an ongoing collaboration that has allowed the home to evolve with the way it is lived.
