Estrella Homes
Who We Are
Estrella Homes creates exceptional homes throughout Sayulita and the Nayarit coast, from custom construction and major remodels to additions, pools, and complete project management. With deep local knowledge and an experienced, hands-on approach, we bring every detail of the building process together to create spaces that are thoughtful, enduring, and distinctly their own.
We bring local knowledge, personal attention, and a thoughtful eye to the process, creating homes that feel considered, natural, and deeply connected to the way life is lived here.
That Perspective Shapes Every Project We Take On
We believe a home becomes part of the life you build. Sayulita has been our home for more than 12 years. Our children were born here, our family belongs to the community, and our connection to this place runs deeper than any project. That’s why we build the way we do.

Recent Work
Casa Churro
Casa Churro was a complex, evolving project that demanded close collaboration, flexibility, and constant problem-solving. From shifting design needs to unexpected site challenges, each decision helped shape the home into what it is today.
Villa Emma
Built into a steep granite hillside, Villa Emma was shaped as much by its extraordinary setting as by the vision for the home. Working closely with trusted clients, we embraced the terrain to create a home that unfolds naturally toward the ocean.
Villa Bohemia
Built for our own family, Villa Bohemia is a deeply personal expression of how we wanted to live in Sayulita. It remains our home today—and a constant reminder that the best design begins with the way a home is actually lived.
Casa Marea
Casa Marea was a reminder that building well sometimes means being patient with the process. Navigating an unexpected permitting delay, we stayed focused on doing things properly while respecting the character of Sayulita.
Casa G
A thoughtful collaboration from the start, Casa G was a project defined by trust, clear communication, and a shared vision. The result was a home that came together naturally—and a process that was as rewarding as the finished space.

- Team to Design, Build & Manage Any Project
We give Tom and the Estrella Homes Team our highest recommendation. We live outside of Mexico, in the USA. So building a beach home in Mexico was both a dream as well as a daunting and scary endeavor. Tom is trustworthy, diligent, thoughtful, fun to work with, and just plain good at what he does. The design was both unique and beautiful. Tom worked hard to see that the construction was well-executed. We love every minute we spend at Casa Churro.

From the beginning of our project, Tom demonstrated professionalism, integrity, and a strong commitment to quality. Communication was clear and consistent throughout the process, and we were impressed with the attention to detail and responsiveness to any concerns or questions we had along the way. The final product exceeded our expectations. The craftsmanship, design, and overall execution of the project reflected his high standards and expertise. Not only was the property delivered on time, but it was also completed with a level of care and precision that speaks volumes about the dedication to customer satisfaction.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Tom at Estrella Homes to build our home in Sayulita, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, the process was smooth, professional, and even enjoyable. Tom was incredibly reliable, communicative, and attentive to every detail. Not only was the project completed on time—something rare in any kind of construction—but the final result exceeded our expectations in every way. The craftsmanship and quality are outstanding, and our home feels both thoughtfully designed and beautifully executed. We are so grateful to Estrella Homes for making our dream home in Mexico a reality.
